Description:

Through theory and practical assignments, students will investigate the terminology, relationships and differences among various brake systems. The effects of manual versus power assisted brakes will be examined with respect to cost, safety and maintenance. Students will identify the advantages and problems associated with different brake materials and designs and what effects the overall vehicle design may have on the effectiveness of the brakes.
