Description:

Upon successful completion of the reportable subject, the apprentice is able to explain food industry safety standards and regulations as they apply to personal hygiene, workplace safety, and food handler practices. In all practical food preparation and service labs, the principles covered in this learning outcome are reinforced and evaluated to ensure apprentices are continually adhering to industry regulations. Apprentices are expected to successfully complete an approved standard food safety training certificate.
