This course will introduce you to the language of health care. The body systems are described using correct anatomical terminology. You will work with medical word parts, rules for building and analyzing medical words, pronunciation, spelling, and medical terms associated with body systems. The course content is arranged by body systems, examining each system's general functions, parts, relationships with other systems, and common pathologies, as well as lab and diagnostic tests, clinical procedures, oncology, and basic pharmacology.
