Further explore roles, responsibilities and administrative duties for the Health Services professional. Students will gain a working knowledge of how to respectfully interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds. The importance of professional ethics, privacy and confidentiality will be highlighted throughout the course. Topics include clinical ethics, the relationship between health beliefs and health behaviors, and managing communication in compliance with privacy principles and statutes. Introduction to processes and procedures related to maintaining financial records and coordinating meetings in a healthcare environment.
