In this course, you will study cost accounting techniques and the interpretation of special managerial reports. You will focus on understanding and interpreting cost behaviour, contribution margin, and break-even analysis. You will use sensitivity analysis to understand risk and allocate costs. You will apply activity-based costing, use the time-value of money to evaluate capital budgeting decisions, and discuss performance and control measures. You will prepare Master Budgets and Operating Budgets.
