Denninger’s – Production Team Lead

The Production Team Lead is a hands-on leadership role responsible for assisting in the supervision of daily operations in the sausage kitchen, ensuring product consistency and adherence to food safety standards.

Essential Functions:

● Cold production environment (temperature-controlled), exposure to extreme temperatures (freezers).

● Physically demanding (lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing and pulling up to 100lbs, standing for extended periods, bending and twisting, repetitive tasks and manual dexterity).

● Fast-paced and deadline-driven.

● Early morning start, flexibility in scheduling required.

Duties

• Supervise and lead the sausage kitchen team, ensuring all production targets, quality standards, and timelines are met
• Operate all sausage production equipment, including but not limited to the bowl cutter, smokehouse, stuffing and linking machines
• Assist in preparing and batching meat according to production recipes and specifications
• Ensure proper handling and preparation of meat mixtures, seasonings, and casings
• Uphold strict adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and food safety protocols at all times
• Monitor production processes and troubleshoot issues as they arise
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Supervisory experience is required (experience in food manufacturing or meat processing is preferred)
• Willingness and ability to learn and operate all kitchen machinery and production equipment.
• Ability to learn how to properly batch meat according to company standards and recipes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
• Knife skills are an asset, but not mandatory.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Team-oriented with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
