NC Teaching Winery wins three awards at All Canadian Wine Championships

There are three new reasons to raise a glass to Niagara College.
Three wines from the Niagara College Teaching Winery have won awards at the 2014 All Canadian Wine Championships. The NC Teaching Winery’s 2011 Balance Barrel Fermented Chardonnay ($19.15) won bronze in the in the Chardonnay Under $20 category; its 2012 Balance Sauvignon Blanc ($16.15) won bronze in the Sauvignon Blanc category; and its 2012 College Rosé ($12.15) won bronze in the Rosé category.

Niagara College is pleased to announce that it has been selected to host the 2014 Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Men’s Soccer Championship. The OCAA approved the Niagara College bid at the 2014 OCAA Annual General Meeting hosted by Boreal College in Sudbury.

A student-created wine label for the Niagara College Teaching Winery has won gold at the Ontario Wine Awards. NC Teaching Winery’s 2012 Balance Sauvignon Blanc was announced as the gold winner for Best Label Design at the Ontario Wine Awards Ceremony on May 9 held at Queen’s Landing in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
