Niagara College campuses in Welland and Niagara-on-the-Lake are scheduled to re-open tomorrow, Friday, January 16, and in-person classes and activities will resume as scheduled.

Heavy snowfall is forecasted to taper off. Snow clearing on campus and in parking lots will continue overnight.

Students and employees are reminded to leave extra time, use care and caution when travelling to campus, and be mindful of slippery conditions.

Due to inclement weather and recognizing the challenging road conditions throughout Niagara early this morning, in-person classes and academic activities at Niagara College’s Welland and Daniel J. Patterson campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake have been cancelled for today (January 15) and campuses will be closed, while online classes and remote work will continue as scheduled.

Students are advised to check Brightspace for further updates specific to their classes and program areas. Those who have Work-integrated Learning placements external to the College (such as co-op) are responsible for liaising with their hosts (placement officer) to determine whether they are required to attend today.

Employees who are able to work remotely are expected to continue as scheduled.

NC will continue to monitor conditions.

Additional updates to college operations will be posted on the Niagara College website and NC social media channels.
