A message from Steve Hudson, VP Academic and Learner Services:
It is with mixed emotions I am announcing that dean Misheck Mwaba is leaving Niagara College to take on the role of vice-president Academic at Bow Valley College in Calgary. The move is a loss for Niagara College, but is a significant accomplishment for Misheck.
Misheck has been the dean of Media, Trades and Technology for the past four years. Over that time he has overseen major program changes and renovations to the labs and facilities, particularly the addition of the Green Automotive Laboratory facilities that opened this spring. Misheck has been a strong advocate for the College and our students in the community, taking on a leadership role with the Niagara Industrial Association and working extensively within the community to advance economic development.
Misheck will be leaving Niagara College effective September 14, however he and his wife Charity will be taking some time to visit their new community prior to that date.
The position of dean will be posted shortly, and there will be communication regarding interim arrangements in the near future.
Please join me in congratulating Misheck on his new role as vice-president Academic, Bow Valley College.
