Come this fall to a College Information Program (CIP) event in your area to meet with college representatives who can answer your questions about program offerings, admissions requirements and campus life. - This contest (the “Contest”) is sponsored by Niagara College (“Niagara College”) and begins at 12:00 a.m. on Monday, September 22, 2025 and closes at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2025 Eastern Time (“the Contest Period”), after which time no further entries will be accepted.
- This Contest is only open to individuals who at the time of entry are:
- residents of Ontario, Canada;
- 17 years of age or older. In the event an entrant is under the stated age at the time of entry, that entrant’s parent or legal guardian will be responsible for all aspects of the Contest on behalf of the entrant, including receipt of the prize and signing any needed releases or other documents;
- entering into term 1, level 1 of a full-time program at Niagara College September 2026; and
- visiting Niagara College’s booth at various Ontario College’s CIP stops or attending Niagara College’s CIP event during the Contest Period at the Welland Campus, 100 Niagara College Boulevard, Welland Ontario. For clarity, entrants who received or are receiving OSAP and who otherwise meet the other eligibility requirements set out in these rules are eligible to enter this Contest. No monetary or other valuable consideration is required to enter the Contest.
- The following individuals are ineligible to win prizes or enter this Contest: (a) employees of Niagara College, their spouses, parents, children and siblings and any other person living in the same residence with any of them, (b) persons who are enrolled in Academic Upgrading, English as a Second Language or any Apprentice programs at Niagara College.
- There is no purchase required to enter this Contest. Eligible individuals may enter by completing an online entry at the Open House. Only one (1) entry is permitted per individual. In the event it is discovered that any individual attempted to enter the Contest more than once, all entries by that individual will be disqualified from this Contest.
- To be eligible for the prize draw, entries must be received by 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, November 14, 2025 (the “Contest Closing Date”).
- One (1) “Full NC Experience” prize is available to be won for the duration of the contest including a $1,000 credit towards tuition at Niagara College for September 2026 intakes. The prize will be applied in one installment as a credit appearing on the student’s term 1, level 1 Niagara College tuition statement. Six (6) weekly prizes are available to be won and will be drawn each Friday between September 26 and Friday, October 31, 2025.
- The prize must be accepted as awarded and is not transferable or convertible to cash. There will be no substitutions except at Niagara College’s option. Niagara College reserves the right to substitute a prize or prize component for one of equal or greater value.
- In the event an eligible entrant who is chosen to receive the prize is not registered and enrolled as a full-time student at Niagara College in September 2026, they will forfeit any right to receive the prize. In the event that a potential winner does not comply with all the eligibility criteria as set out in these rules and Niagara College admission requirements for first-year students, Niagara College will have the right to disqualify such potential winner.
- There will be a random draw (the “draw”) to select a potential winner from among eligible entrants who have submitted an eligible entry outlined in section 2. The draw will take place at or shortly after 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Friday, November 14 at Niagara College, Welland, Ontario. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received by the Contest Closing Date. Once a selected entrant is drawn, the selected entrant will be notified within five (5) days from the draw by email message. If a selected entrant cannot be contacted within five (5) days after being selected, they will forfeit the prize.
- The winner acknowledges that Niagara College has the right to reproduce, publicize and broadcast their name, likeness, voice and the fact that they won the contest and all matters incidental thereto, without compensation. By participating, participants also agree to give the College the right to use their name in marketing campaigns and promotions not necessarily associated with the contest. Any personal information that is provided to Niagara College will be on a voluntary basis.
- All decisions made by Niagara College with respect to any aspect of this Contest are final and binding.
- By participating in this Contest, each entrant agrees:
- that they have read, understood and will abide by these rules;
- to be bound by these rules and the decisions of Niagara College, whose decisions are final;
- to provide proof of age, proof of registration in an eligible program and proof of Ontario residency;
- to allow Niagara College to use, reproduce, publicize and broadcast the winner’s name, city of residence, likeness, voice, photograph/video or statements for editorial purposes without compensation other than the value of the prize offered;
- any personal information that is provided to Niagara College will be on a voluntary basis.
- Niagara College will not be held responsible or bear any liability for:
- late received, lost, misdirected, incomplete or illegible entries, all of which will be deemed void, or for any typographical or other production or distribution errors;
- entries which fail to comply with these rules;
- failure of the internet during the Contest Period, nor for any problems or technical malfunction of any network lines, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, or traffic congestion on the internet or any combination thereof;
- any and all losses, damages or claims caused by or resulting from this Contest or Niagara College’s sponsorship of it.
- This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations in Canada. Contest rules are subject to change without notice, if necessary, to comply with any applicable law or policy of Niagara College.
- This Contest will run in accordance with these rules, subject to amendment by Niagara College. Entrants must comply with these rules and participating in this Contest, will be deemed to have received and understood them. All entries that are incomplete, submitted through illicit means or that do not comply with these rules or satisfy the criteria set out herein will be disqualified. Entry in this Contest by an individual will be deemed to be his or her consent to the collection and use of his or her personal information as set out above. If the identity of an entrant is at any time disputed, the person matching the information presented to Niagara College at the time of entering the Contest will be deemed by Niagara College, in their sole discretion, to be the entrant.
