About Us

The SRRO administers the college’s Student Code of Conduct and serves as a support and consultative resource for members of the college community to help resolve non-academic student conduct concerns.

The SRRO aids in supporting the informal resolution of student misconduct using an educational approach where possible. When formal reports of non-academic misconduct are received, the SRRO will review the reports to determine if the alleged misconduct falls within the scope of the Student Code of Conduct or any other college policy that governs student behaviour. If an investigation is launched, the SRRO will meet with the individuals involved and review evidence presented to make a determination of what occurred based on a balance of probabilities. If the SRRO determines that a student has been found in violation of college policy, the SRRO will impose an appropriate sanction(s) as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct Procedure.

The SRRO encourages all students to be aware of their rights and responsibilities as members of the college community. The SRRO is committed to promoting a safe and successful experience for Niagara College students by adhering to the fair and transparent principles outlined in the Student Code of Conduct Policy.
