Niagara College Graduates of the Personal Support Worker Ontario College Certificate program (or those students currently enrolled in their last level) can apply to the PSW to PN Bridging opportunity.
Graduates of Niagara College’s Personal Support Worker Certificate (or those in their last level) are eligible to apply to the PSW-PN Bridge term. Students who successfully complete the bridge term with an average above 70% will be considered for entry to term 2 of Practical Nursing.
Applicants must be Niagara College graduates of the Personal Support Worker program on or after June 2008.

- These courses are offered through a condensed delivery in 7 weeks. Each course has 6 in-class hours/week.
- Both courses must be successfully completed with an overall average of 70% or greater.
Admission Requirements
- Applicants must be graduates of Niagara College’s Personal Support Worker program (or in their last level).
- Program GPA of 70% or higher.
Ranking and selection will be based on the overall program GPA of the Personal Support Worker program. This pathway is highly competitive. The capacity to the ‘bridge’ is 30 students. Conditional offers will be made for qualified applicants currently enrolled in their last level. All conditions must be met prior to the start of classes. Selection for entry to term 2 of the Practical Nursing fall intake will be based on the average of the 2 Bridging courses (minimum required average of 70%). Admission decisions to term 2 of Practical Nursing are typically made mid-July each year. The application will remain open until program reaches capacity. Any applications received after the deadline will be evaluated on a first-come, first-served basis.
