New! Tea Preparation and Consumption

Course Code: HTSM1506C

Students examine preparation and consumption habits of various regions around the world. Tea evolution is explored both socially and economically. Students will review the research on health benefits of tea: the myths and facts. Through hands-on tastings including unique cultural practices for drinking tea, students will utilize skills gained in previous classes to prepare the perfect cup of tea. TEA 106 (through the Tea and Herbal Association of Canada) is considered an equivalency.
