Co-op Employer Survey: FAQs
Niagara College co-op employers are invited by email to participate in Niagara College’s online Co-op Employer Survey. Please see the “Eligibility to Participate” section below. The survey is conducted by Niagara College’s Career Services department with support from Niagara College’s Planning and Institutional Research (PaIR) department on behalf of Niagara College.

Purpose of the Survey
Your opinions are important. Niagara College uses your feedback to gather insights on your experiences with Niagara College’s co-op program. This survey aims to:
- understand your satisfaction with the co-op program(s),
- the skills and competencies you expect from students, and
- whether these meet your expectations.
Additionally, your feedback will help us enhance our co-op program to better align with industry needs and improve future work term experiences.
The employer survey is scheduled from November 27, 2024 to December 11, 2024.
What Participation Involves
Your participation in this online survey is voluntary. Your responses are confidential. Only combined results will be reported.
This survey takes approximately 5 minutes to complete; written comments/ideas/suggestions take additional time depending on the length of the response you may choose to provide.
Eligibility to Participate
Each term (i.e., fall/spring/winter), a sample of co-op employers who have partnered with Niagara College for co-op recruitment, will be invited by email to fill out the survey online.
The survey link you will be provided is unique to you. Please do not share it with others.
Confidentiality and Uses
All responses are confidential. Responses will be reported in aggregate, except for comments which will be anonymized but otherwise reported as submitted. All data will be securely stored by SurveyMonkey and Niagara College – for more information, please see:

The information obtained from this study will be strictly used for college purposes. This survey is being conducted by Niagara College’s Career Services department with support from Niagara College’s Planning and Institutional Research (PaIR) department on behalf of Niagara College. Anonymized data may be shared with other Niagara College departments for additional analysis. The privacy and confidentiality of provided information will be protected in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, R.S.O. 1990.
Data Ownership & Consent: All survey data and responses are the property of Niagara College, which reserves the right to use, analyze, and disseminate the information in line with privacy laws and institutional policies. By participating in this survey, respondents consent to the college’s use and sharing of their responses under these guidelines. Potentially, anonymized and redacted data may be shared with Niagara College academic faculty, community partners, and/or employers for collaborative purposes. Occasionally, this data may also be shared with Niagara College students for educational purposes, such as course-based projects, ensuring strict confidentiality and privacy.
