Employees

By default, Niagara College employees will automatically receive NC Alert messages at their Niagara College email address, to college-issued mobile devices, as well as through the NC Campus Mobile Safety app (if installed).

If you wish to receive NC Alert notifications via SMS text message to a personal mobile number, text to voice message to a personal phone number, sent to a personal email address, or push notifications through the NC Mobile app, please follow the below instructions.

It doesn’t matter which location you choose to manage your NC Alert opt-in settings from, with the exception that NC Mobile app push notifications can only be turned on through the NC Mobile app.

  1. Log in to MyNC.
  2. Go to Employee Self Service.

  3. Choose the Urgent Notifications: NC Alert Verification link from the “My Personal Information” list.

  4. Fill in the fields provided, depending on which type of alert(s) you would like to receive. The options include a Voice Call Phone Number, a Text Message Mobile Phone Number, and a Personal E-mail Address. A preview of the page can be found below.

    Remember, you do not need to include your Niagara College email address; alerts will be sent to your NC email address automatically.
  5. Check the “I consent to NCAlert Emergency Alerts” box.
  6. Click the orange Save button.
  7. You’re done!

You can return to the above page at any time to change your settings.

NC Mobile App Push Notifications

If you wish to receive push notifications through the NC Mobile App, please download and install the app. Log into the app using your NC credentials and accept the push notification permissions that pop up. No further opt in process is required.

Please note that you will only receive push notifications if you remain logged into the app. Closing the app will not log you out.
