Program Highlights

  • Over the course of 3 years of training, students are given the opportunity to create a large portfolio of professional level films and content. Projects may include Dramas, Documentaries, Webisodes, Music Videos, TV Ads and more
  • All major film projects are edited and mastered
  • Film Production consistently graduates students ready for real-world employment by placing a strong emphasis on industry standard skills, techniques and workflow
  • In addition to acquiring a multitude of relevant technical skills, students refine their individual creative voices by learning tried-and-true visual story-telling craft and theories helping them take their productions to the next level of professionalism
  • A close partnership with the Niagara College Acting Program facilitates student-filmmaker and studentactor collaborations
  • Film Production’s association with ACTRA Toronto (Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists) allows for professional union actors to participate in student productions
  • Film production students also have access to television production and radio specialty spaces such as a fully HD television studio and an automated radio on-air production studio
  • Film Production graduates are successfully working on sets, in production offices and in editing rooms across Canada
