This includes roommates for students living in residence. <strong>Do not come to campus.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Self-isolate at home<\/strong>, even if you&#8217;re fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Be sure to follow the latest public health guidance regarding self-isolation periods, testing and self-monitoring: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.niagararegion.ca\/health\/covid-19\/self-isolation.aspx\"><strong>niagararegion.ca\/health\/covid-19\/self-isolation.aspx<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Students should notify their instructor<\/strong> and follow direction provided.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Employees should notify their supervisor<\/strong> and follow direction provided.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students who need access to services and supports while self-isolating can consult our <strong>Self-Isolation Resources Documents<\/strong> for off-campus students and students living in residence located on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.niagaracollege.ca\/covid19\/resources\/\">Resources page<\/a> of the Return to Campus website. For additional resources or information, contact <a href=\"mailto:COVIDinfo@niagaracollege.ca\">COVIDinfo@niagaracollege.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Support for employees is available through the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.niagaracollege.ca\/humanresources\/employees\/efap\/\">Employee Family Assistance Program<\/a>. NRPH also has a resource on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.niagararegion.ca\/living\/health_wellness\/mentalhealth\/wellbeing\/coping-with-isolation.aspx\">how to cope during isolation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If you develop symptoms while on campus<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students who develop symptoms while on campus should <strong>leave as soon as possible<\/strong>. If you cannot leave immediately, go to the <strong>COVID-19 Waiting Room<\/strong> on your campus until you can leave:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Welland Campus: M100<\/li>\n<li>Niagara-on-the-Lake Campus: W112<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Employees who develop symptoms while on campus should <strong>leave as soon as possible<\/strong> If they cannot leave immediately, they should isolate in a private office or meeting room until they can depart.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How will the College notify students and employees of positive cases or symptomatic individuals?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While the province has prioritized testing for high-risk groups and public health does not report positive cases to the College, when the College becomes aware of a positive case or when someone has reported COVID symptoms, it will notify as follows:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Students<\/strong> who may have been exposed to a positive case or individual with symptoms in a classroom or lab will be <strong>notified via their Blackboard classroom<\/strong> with the date of the potential exposure and instructions to self-monitor or self-isolate if symptoms develop (per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.niagararegion.ca\/health\/covid-19\/self-isolation.aspx\">Niagara Region Public Health guidelines<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Employees<\/strong> who may have been exposed to a positive case or individual with symptoms in a workspace will be <strong>notified by email by their supervisor<\/strong> with the date of the potential exposure and instructions to self-monitor or self-isolate if symptoms develop (per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.niagararegion.ca\/health\/covid-19\/self-isolation.aspx\">Niagara Region Public Health guidelines<\/a>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you are experiencing COVID symptoms or live with someone who is symptomatic or tests positive, assume you are positive and isolate.
