Pelham Today <\/em>reported that the City of Welland’s original illustrated children’s book, Wonders of Welland<\/em>, has received national recognition with an Award of Excellence from the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS). The book earned a silver award in the Best Publication category, placing second nationwide among public relations and communications professionals.<\/p>\n

The article highlights the many collaborators on the project, including Niagara College and alumnus Javier Carranza, who illustrated the book. Carranza is a 2024 graduate of NC’s Business program and a former co-op student with the City of Welland.<\/p>\n
