Indigenous Learning Circle

The Centre for Academic Excellence and Indigenous Education and Niagara College invite faculty, academic leaders and staff to take part in the inaugural initiative which explores the perspectives and experiences of indigenous students at Niagara College.

Through conversations and readings, the Circle will foster an environment for engagement and reflection of Indigenous roles at NC. White Northern Lights Woman, Aniishnaabe, Mi’Kmaq, Metis and elder, Elaine Berwald will chair the Circle.

The Circle will take place on the Welland Campus in SA208 at the following dates and times:

  • Wednesday, January 31 from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, February 21 from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, March 21 from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, April 18 from 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Those who attend are asked to commit to attending all four of the sessions to maintain the bond and sense of community. Registration will be done on a first-come-first-serve basis, as space is limited. Registration will close on Jan. 26 at 5 p.m.
