Agriculture and Food Innovation: Opportunities for Niagara
October 17, 2016 @ 1:00 am - 2:30 pm
The Niagara Region offers a unique ecosystem in Canada. A variety of native plants are a great source of food, yet many have long been forgotten. Meanwhile soil and climate conditions allow the region to also grow non-native plants of very high value, yet these are not traditional and their applications not well known locally. This talk aims to cover a few examples and how much more value can be generated from processing our own agricultural products and marketing these to the World.
