A March 22 article in InNiagara reported on a group of 30 NC hairstyling students who volunteered backstage at Canada’s Got Talent. Hairstyling students from all levels of the program worked side stage and in the waiting areas to prepare contestants for their performances with hair, make-up, and touch-ups.
Students in the Broadcasting program also got real-life experience helping with everything from checking contestants in, to assisting filming crews, shooting performers, to stagehands and audience logistics.
Hairstyling Professor Joe Abbruscato, Broadcasting Program Coordinator Dutch Vandenberg, and first-year hairstyling student Alicja Bednarek are quoted in the article.
