Nicholas Tibollo with The Niagara Independent featured NC’s ‘Feed the Community’ initiative, organized by faculty and students from NC’s Culinary Management program. Through the initiative, NC’s team of chef professors and students, who worked on the initiative on a volunteer basis, have dished out 3,000 free meals to those in need in Niagara since the beginning of the Fall 2021 Term in September. Meals have been delivered to community agencies including Port Cares in Port Colborne, The Raft and Start Me Up Niagara in St. Catharines, and Project Share in Niagara Falls.
The article includes comments from NC Chef Professor Olaf Mertens, CFWI Dean Craig Youdale and second-year Culinary Management student Joe Abbruscato, who was part of the Feed the Community team.
