Education News Canada shared NC’s release about NC Virtual Preschool, a website recently launched by faculty and students from the College’s Early Childhood Education program.
The release notes that when it became apparent that their program placements – which are typically in kindergarten classes or childcare centres – would not take place during Fall term, program faculty began to explore new options for students and landed on NC Virtual Preschool. The innovative project provides second-year ECE students with the opportunity to create online activities and modules for children and may be a particularly valuable resource for children who aren’t attending in-person daycare or kindergarten during the pandemic, as well as the parents who find themselves working from home and may not be able to access childcare.
