All Ontario Colleges are required to participate in a 5 year, continuous improvement College Quality Assurance Audit Process (CQAAP) that is overseen by the Ontario College Quality Assurance Service, an arms-length body of the Ministry of Colleges and Universities.  Niagara College last completed a full cycle of this institutional quality assurance process in 2012, which means that this year, Niagara College will be embarking upon the self-study, site visit and action plan components of this comprehensive review of our quality mechanisms.  Information about the CQAAP can be found here on the Ontario College Quality Assurance Service website: www.ocqas.org

The CQAAP addresses a wide-range of college mechanisms that function together to ensure teaching and learning quality across our administrative, operational and academic divisions. During the fall semester, the  Centre for Academic Excellence will be organizing a series of meetings that will provide an opportunity for gathering evidence and developing narratives for our institutional Self-Study (due in February 2017) of the ways in which our operational divisions, through policies, practices and daily processes, support quality at Niagara College.

The Centre for Academic Excellence is supporting college-wide preparations for the self-study and site visit requirements of the College Quality Assurance Audit Process and to help the members of the Niagara College community to become more familiar with the CQAAP standards and requirements, the CAE has created a series of brief, informational videos.  Check them out  online
