Hafsah Shaikh has taken a the full-time role as Niagara College’s new Student Rights and Responsibilities officer.
The Student Services Division welcomed Hafsah Shaikh to the role of Student Rights and Responsibilities officer on August 17, 2015.
Working closely with the director, Student Services, the SRRO supports the College’s overall administration of the student rights and responsibilities system, including the investigation of non-academic student conduct issues that arise on campus, educating students about appropriate behavioural expectations and resources, and providing resources and support for faculty and staff about student rights, responsibilities and due process.
Hafsah begins this full-time role with related experience, working with students at both the post-secondary and secondary school level. Most recently, she held the position of Student Conduct officer, Niagara College. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Child and Youth Studies from Brock University and an Ontario Security Guard licence.
Hafsah’s office is at the Welland Campus however, she will regularly support all three Niagara College locations. Please join the Student Services team in welcoming Hafsah to her new, full-time role with Niagara College.
