New staff announcement: Gina Grossi to begin full-time role as Game Development prof

A message from Misheck Mwaba, dean of NC’s Media, Trades and Technology Division:

I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Gina Grossi as professor Game Development in the School of Media effective August 11.

Gina, a Niagara College alum, brings to the job a rich breadth of experience in Game Development that combines hands-on programming experience and management. From 1998 to 2012 she worked for Silicon Knights were she held positions as senior programmer, lead programmer, assistant project director, and director of technology. In 2012 she joined Niagara College, splitting her time working as a partial load professor in Game Development and as a research project manager at Niagara Research responsible for the Digital Media and IT Group.

Gina has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Computer Science from Brock University, a diploma in Visual Arts and Creative Design from Niagara College, and is presently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at Brock University.
