Have your say! Niagara College, as a member of the steering committee for the Niagara Region’s Community Safety and Well Being Plan, is inviting staff and faculty to weigh in on the plan to improve the safety and well-being of our communities.
The plan is a new legislative requirement of the Police Services Act. This approach recognizes that safety and well-being cannot be addressed in isolation by any one organization or sector. The plan provides a way for partners to work together to develop local strategies that can begin to address root causes of complex social issues, and ensures that people in need of help receive the right response, at the right time, and by the right service provider.
Have your say on the plan, including issues like mental health, poverty, addictions, road safety, support for older adults, crime and human trafficking.
The survey closes on March 28, 2020. Share your input and you could win 1 of 3 $100 prepaid Visas.
Your contributions will help shape a community where everyone feels a sense of safety and belonging, and has access to services to meet their needs.
