Please note that the elevator that provides access to the second and third floors of the Simcoe Building at the Welland Campus is out of service, and due to a province-wide strike by elevator service technicians we are unable to have the elevator repaired at this time.
Niagara College is working to identify and remedy any access issues this may cause with classes and activities scheduled on the second or third floor of the Simcoe Building.
Students who have scheduled classes on the second or third floor of Simcoe and who require the elevator to access these areas are asked to contact the Student Success Centre by visiting room SE102 or calling ext. 7602 or 7778.
This service issue affects the access to the second and third floors of the Simcoe Building only. Elevators serving the athletic centre area and the Applied Health Institute are operational.
Non-academic departments with access questions or concerns can contact Gill Shriner at ext. 7503.
While we are working diligently to find a solution to this issue, due to the nature of this delay we are unable to provide a timeline for the resumption of elevator service in the Simcoe Building. Updates will be provided as they come available.
