On March 28, The Jamaica Observer shared the story of NC alumna Lian Chen, a 2014 graduate of the Culinary Management program. The piece focuses on Chen’s success as a young restaurateur in Mandeville, Jamaica where she opened her bistro, Voilà by Lilee, in 2017 at the age of 25. Since opening, Chen has received glowing reviews on her cuisine from diners who come to enjoy Jamaican fusion cuisine; traditional dishes with European and American influences.
