The 2019 edition of Maclean’s magazine’s annual Colleges Guide is out on newsstands, and its growing prominence in the cannabis industry has helped Niagara College stand out.

In addition to being featured in the guide itself (on p. 112), an article on p. 46 explores the future of the cannabis industry in Canada, and features an interview with NC’s associate dean of Environment and Horticulture Al Unwin, who speaks about the industry in general as well as how NC’s Commercial Cannabis Program is meeting a growing need for skilled and specialized workers to lead Canada’s cannabis industry into the future. The story also features a photo of Unwin with Greenhouse Technician Students Arif Arslan and Melissa Drake.

In addition to the print magazine, on shelves now, the article can be viewed online here: www.macleans.ca/education/want-a-job-in-the-cannabis-industry-try-these-canadian-colleges/
