Thorold Today highlighted Niagara College’s partnership with Niagara Region Economic Development to introduce more than 1,200 local youth to careers in agriculture through hands-on learning and career exploration. The article includes the Niagara Region’s press release and noted that participants visited NC’s Daniel J. Patterson Campus, where they explored the College’s lagoon, vineyard and teaching greenhouse alongside NC faculty and students.
NC President Sean Kennedy called the initiative “a great example of what can take root when we work together to address workforce needs,” while Evan DiValentino, Dean of Business and Environment, said the partnership has helped “more students see firsthand where an agriculture education can take them.”
