NC Dean of Health Sciences Sinéad McElhone recently co-authored a study, published in Healthcare Management Forum, titled “Defining Health System Capacity: A Rapid Review.” Led by Heather O’Grady of the Niagara Health Knowledge Institute, Niagara College was among a diverse team of experts from across the Niagara health system who contributed to the project including Niagara Region Public Health and McMaster University.
The publication highlighted the vital role Niagara College plays in regional health research. By collaborating with partners like Niagara Health, Niagara Health Knowledge Institute, and McMaster, NC faculty and staff are helping to establish a clearer understanding of health system capacity to improve patient care and operational efficiency within Niagara.
“I’m proud to contribute to this project, which is a Niagara-wide approach to innovation,” said McElhone. “Our joint achievement underscores Niagara College’s commitment to academic excellence and our active participation in research that informs the future of healthcare management in Ontario.”
