Yesterday, we gathered to combine the best of our Niagara College traditions: Niagara Day and the NC Holiday Celebration – and what a day it was!
It was wonderful to honour award recipients, longtime employees, and those retiring, and celebrate an incredible year together with friends and colleagues before the festive season.
As we close out a year of challenge, change, and achievement at NC, the energy and passion that each of you brings to our campuses each day make this community truly special. I am inspired by your unwavering commitment to our values and your genuine care for one another – qualities that will carry us forward into the new year.
As I mentioned yesterday, our new organizational structure positions us to meet the challenges ahead during this pivotal moment in post-secondary education. As we look for ways to seize opportunities and grow enrolments, we are building on the momentum of key milestones this year – many captured in our cherished Year in Review video. These include breaking ground on a new health education building, opening a new research greenhouse, and achieving our highest domestic enrolment since before the pandemic – a trend that continues.
Together, through every action – big or small, direct or indirect – you help to bolster our strong reputation with prospective and current students, employers, donors, and community partners, by ensuring that every student enjoys the best possible NC experience, rooted in our core values. I know our passion will be on full display as we kick off the Winter 2026 Term.
