The World of Fine Wine recently featured NC Winery and Viticulture Technician alumni Augusta Vanmuyen (2010) and Jessica Otting (2011) in an article on mastering the aging process of Ontario Chardonnay.
At Tawse Winery, Vanmuyen is said to have revitalized the 4-acre Robyn’s Block, improving soil health and vine quality, while Otting’s 2020 Chardonnay showcases stony freshness and balance, in contrast to the richer, oak-heavy 2010 vintage.
