Pelham Today reported that the City of Welland’s original illustrated children’s book, Wonders of Welland, has received national recognition with an Award of Excellence from the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS). The book earned a silver award in the Best Publication category, placing second nationwide among public relations and communications professionals.
The article highlights the many collaborators on the project, including Niagara College and alumnus Javier Carranza, who illustrated the book. Carranza is a 2024 graduate of NC’s Business program and a former co-op student with the City of Welland.
