Take part in a virtual workshop on consent, and an info session about drink/vape spike awareness
In Ontario and at NC, Sexual Violence Prevention Month is recognized in May.
This month is an opportunity for students and employees to learn about consent, raise awareness about sexual violence and support those experiencing sexual violence in our community.
While anyone can experience sexual violence, social and systemic issues have a role to play and certain populations are more vulnerable to being targeted for acts of sexual violence than others.
Consent is Key and the @consentiskeync page on Instagram are sources for the Niagara College community to learn more about what consent means and ways we can all prevent sexual violence. Educate yourself about why sexual violence happens, why people might not want to speak up or report it, and how you can support survivors.
