On March 13 during SDG Month, Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) will host a panel discussion to explore the connections between sports and physical activity, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and climate action.
SDG Month in Canada seeks to build collaboration, awareness and engagement around the United Nations 17 SDG’s.
O’Keefe will join Olympic athletes, sustainability experts, and fellow representatives from colleges and institutes to examine how sports and physical activity choices can contribute to climate action while inspiring new ideas and collaborations. She will share experiences from campus as well as NC’s work with the Niagara 2022 Canada Summer Games.
The panel will be hosted by Karima Cherifi from the University of the Fraser Valley and is presented in collaboration with CICan and SDSN.
