Niagara College’s Health, Wellness & Accessibility Services (HWAS) department is inviting students to participate in its second annual Student Mental Health Retreat on Wednesday, February 26 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Happening during break week, this full-day retreat will provide interactive sessions that allow for the exploration of various aspects of positive mental health and wellbeing including yoga, mindfulness and meditation exploration, visual arts and more.

In alignment with the College’s strategic plan, this retreat is based on the paradigm of Holistic Education, which focuses on the education and growth of the whole person – head, heart, and hands. It also focuses on connectedness, such that our growth and developmental activities are not fragmented from the whole person but rather nurtures interconnection between the self and whole person and self and the external world.

Employees are encouraged to share this opportunity with students.

There is no cost for students to participate in the retreat. Lunch and snacks will be provided.

How do students apply?

All NC students are eligible to apply to be selected as a participant and can do so by filling out the student application survey (via Survey Monkey) by Feb. 19.
