On September 7, Ron Mawhood interviewed NC’s Director of Athletics and Student Engagement, Michele O’Keefe on CKTB.
During the segment, O’Keefe discussed various aspects of athletics at the College, including the introduction of the new mascot, Noble of Niagara. She also announced several coaching updates for the Knights’ basketball and curling teams: Lequan Hylton as the new men’s basketball Head Coach, Kimbal Mackenzie as the interim Head Coach for women’s basketball, and Jordan Thin, Richard Reist, and Chris Poulouski as the new coaches for the varsity curling program.
O’Keefe also highlighted several enhancements to the Welland Campus gym, including a re-finished floor, new lights, a sound system, a scoreboard and more. When asked what she would most like to bring to Niagara College in the future, O’Keefe expressed her desire to bring home a championship title.
