A message from NC Student Engagement:
Thank you to the employees who attended a training session last month to learn about the College’s exciting new student engagement app, NC Engage.
If you were unable to join us, a link to a recording of the July 17 virtual session is available in the posted message on the employee portal. Additional sessions will be hosted in the fall.
About NC Engage
NC Engage is the College’s new student engagement app that is replacing the Get Involved portal. Reaching students on their mobile devices, the app is a convenient way for students to learn about the exciting opportunities and services available to them outside of the classroom, both at NC and in the community, to enhance their student experience.
NC Engage provides a central location for students to find opportunities to get involved on and off campus, access and update their Co-Curricular Record (CCR) and connect with other students.
This new platform also enhances the ability for departments and program areas across the College to engage with students. The app can be used to:
- Promote student initiatives including events, workshops, co-curricular activities and more, with the option to manage registration and collect payment directly through the app;
- Promote volunteer opportunities;
- Create surveys, polls, forms or quizzes to capture student feedback; and more.
We are pleased to share that we have been receiving positive feedback from students who have been using the app this summer during our soft launch.
As we approach the start of the 2024 Fall Term, when NC Engage will be fully launched, we encourage you to create a group for your department or program area if you feel you would benefit from using the app.
Getting started is easy
Download the app on the Apple or Google Play store by searching “NC Engage” or visit the web-based version at www.ncengage.ca. All NC employees have access using their NC credentials.
After you sign in, go to the “Groups” tab on the top menu bar, select “All Groups” and click the “Register New Department ” to fill out a form requesting a group for your department. Please note that you will need to identify at least one group officer, who will manage your department’s group page. Once approved, you will receive an email notifying you that your group has been created.
A user guide is available for employees with information and tips to help you get started.
If you have questions or require assistance to set up your group page, please reach out to Nimisha Sumathi, Co-Curricular Engagement Coordinator, at [email protected].
