As announced on July 2, a soft launch is underway for the College’s new Student Engagement app – NC Engage.

The app is replacing the existing Get Involved portal to provide students with convenient access to the exciting opportunities available to them outside of the classroom that benefit their NC experience.

While the Student Engagement team tests NC Engage with a group of current students this summer, the team is also excited to offer virtual and in-person training sessions for employees through July.

Employees are invited to register for a training session on one of the following dates to learn about how their department can benefit from using this innovative tool:

  • Tuesday, July 16 from 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. (virtual)
  • Wednesday, July 17 from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (virtual)
  • Monday, July 22 from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. (room AH255, Welland Campus)
  • Wednesday, July 24 from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. (room N018, Daniel J. Patterson Campus)

Each session will cover key information about the app, including:

  • Introduction of the app and its benefits;
  • User navigation;
  • Communication tools;
  • Event management, including reporting;
  • Creation of tracks and checklists; and
  • Incentivization tools.

Your participation is important in ensuring the successful implementation of NC Engage for our students.

The Student Engagement team looks forward to seeing employees at the training sessions and working with departments college-wide to enhance the wholistic student experience at NC. A full launch of the app is anticipated for the start of the Fall 2024 term.
