On January 25, The Lake Report released an article on the status of a recently conducted survey used to quantify Niagara-on-the-Lake (NOTL) residents’ needs for housing as they age. The survey has been supported by NC School of Business Management Studies Professor Nick Farnel and his graduate students, and the article reports that they have now moved into the data analysis stage of the survey.
The first part of the analysis will be to get an in-depth understanding of how the sample breaks down according to the various NOTL communities, and how it’s made up within other demographic elements such as age, gender and financial aspects. All those pieces of information will then be compared with secondary census data from Statistics Canada both across NOTL as a whole and within the individual NOTL communities.
