The Penticton Herald released a January 18 article on local Icewine harvests, highlighting that the next generation of winemakers at Niagara College’s Daniel J. Patterson Campus in Niagara-on-the-Lake who recently participated in their own harvest.
Under the supervision of Winery & Viticulture Technician Professor Gavin Robertson about 50 students braved frigid temperatures and snow to harvest grapes from the school’s teaching winery vineyards.
Roberston is quoted in the article: “Students get to handle it from juice to the bottle. It really is an experiential learning opportunity.”
