A January 2 article from The Niagara Independent reported on the NC Teaching Brewery’s recent achievements and its continuous success on the local, national and international stage.
The article highlights that in July, the Teaching Brewery was named grand champion at the 2023 U.S. Open College Beer Championship, where it saw all five of its entries take home awards. In last month’s Ontario Brewing Awards, the Teaching Brewery won a gold medal for its Beer 101 Bock (Amber Malty European Lager category) and a silver for its Beer 101 Strong Ale (Strong British Ale category).
Brewmaster Professor Jonathan Downing is quoted in the article: “When the same brews win when brewed by different people – that’s something that all our students and graduates can be proud of.”
