With Course Feedback Surveys well underway, NC faculty are reminded to promote student participation in this important initiative.
The spring term survey period kicked off at NC on August 4 and will be gathering valuable student feedback until August 21.
Organized and administered by the Centre for Academic Excellence (CAE), Course Feedback Surveys are an opportunity for students to reflect on their courses and to help guide the College’s continuous improvement quality process through their honest, constructive feedback.
Faculty support is key to promoting this important survey among our student population. The information gathered from Course Feedback Surveys is pivotal as it enables us to assess our courses and continue to innovate as we strive to provide the best quality education and student experience at NC.
This year, as the College engages in discussions on flexible course delivery, it is particularly important to hear directly from our students on their digital learning experiences.
Faculty members are encouraged to share with their students how much our College values their highly-anticipated feedback and to encourage student participation. If possible, please consider allocating time in class for students to complete the surveys.
Any information that students share through Course Feedback Surveys is confidential.
Students will receive an email with instructions on how to access their surveys via Blackboard. Surveys can be completed from any device or computer.
Faculty may view the list of their courses being surveyed through Blackboard, as well as how many students have completed the survey in real time.
To view the final results, log in to Blackboard a week after the course ends (click on the MyBlackboard tab. View the MyCoursEval section with your courses hyperlinked).
Note: surveys will be open for the majority of postsecondary credit courses during this time frame.
