A message from Leo Tiberi, Dean, Media, Trades and Technology:
I am delighted to announce that Duane Bender will join the College as the Associate Dean in the School of Technology.
Duane comes to NC with more than 20 years’ experience in post-secondary education and technology management. He held various roles at Mohawk College for 16 of those years, including as a professor of Computer Science and Director of Applied Research. Duane has served as the CTO of Hamilton Health Sciences, CIO for the District School Board of Niagara and, most recently, CTO for Digital Health Partners in Hamilton.
Duane was awarded the World Federation of Colleges and Polytechnics (WFCP) Award of Excellence and College & Institutes Canada National Leadership Bronze Medal in 2018.
Duane holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and a Master of Science in eHealth – Applied Computer Science from McMaster University.
His first day is August 8, 2023.
