I am very excited to welcome you back to campus as we begin a new year and a new term.
As I begin my first academic term as Vice President, Academic, I am energized by the collegial and collaborative spirit, warm welcome and unwavering passion for student success that I have experienced in my first days and weeks at NC.
Since assuming my new role on December 15, I have enjoyed meeting my new colleagues from across NC at meetings and events. What has been clear throughout these early engagements is an unwavering focus on students that is shared across all areas of the College.
With the end of the holiday break and the start of the Winter Term I know we all bring a renewed sense of energy and reflection; as we continue to navigate an evolving postsecondary landscape that brings both opportunity and challenge, our focus on students will be more important than ever.
What has also become clear to me is the crucial role that our College plays in the economic and social fabric of Niagara. As we look ahead, let’s remain steadfast and attentive to the needs of our students as well as the communities and industry partners that we serve. By providing outstanding applied education and training, and developing and delivering innovative programs, we help our students to realize their goals and dreams, we support growth and success in our key industry sectors and we drive civic engagement.
Thank you again for the warm welcome. It is an honour to serve as Vice President, Academic and I look forward to working together. I wish you a successful start to 2026 and the Winter Term.
