A message from EDI and Accessibility:

From March 3 to 6, Niagara College will celebrate our inaugural Inclusion Week!

The week will feature a variety of opportunities for students, staff, and faculty to learn more about equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives at the College.

Monday, March 3:

Tuesday, March 4:

  • 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EDI Fair (WC):
    Peruse a variety of EDI-related initiatives, resources, and services available across the College. The fair will showcase how different departments are contributing to EDI at NC.
  • 2 p.m. Inclusive Language Guide Launch (WC and virtual):
    This guide gives an overview of things for students and employees to consider and incorporate into their daily practices, studies, and work at NC. The guide aims is to provide current best practices on inclusive language, while also recognizing that language changes as we learn new things.

Wednesday, March 5:

  • 10 a.m. Women in Construction Week Panel (WC and virtual):
    The panel – A collaboration with the Niagara Home Builders Association – will feature women from across the construction industry who will speak to their experiences working in the field.
  • 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. EDI Fair (DJP-NOTL):
    Peruse a variety of EDI-related initiatives, resources, and services available across the College. The fair will showcase how different departments are contributing to EDI at NC.
  • 2 p.m. Adaptive Boccia Ball Tournament (WC):
    Get ready to roll into fun! Join us for an inclusive event where athletes of all abilities can compete and enjoy the game in a supportive, fun environment. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the sport, this tournament is all about community, friendly competition, and the joy of bocce.

Thursday, March 6:

  • 2 p.m. Adaptive Boccia Ball Tournament (DJP-NOTL):
    Get ready to roll into fun! Join us for an inclusive event where athletes of all abilities can compete and enjoy the game in a supportive, fun environment. Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the sport, this tournament is all about community, friendly competition, and the joy of bocce.
