Message from Fiona Allan, Vice President, Academic and Dr. Chris McGrath, Vice President, Students:

We are excited to announce that the 4th annual Ontario College Student Experience Survey (OCSES) launches today through February 19, 2025.

This quick 5-7 minute online survey, administered by OCAS on behalf of Ontario’s public colleges and supported locally by Niagara College’s Institutional Research team, provides students an opportunity to share feedback on teaching, learning, work-integrated learning, and college services.

Key Details:

  • This survey is not an evaluation of a specific course, subject, or teacher;
  • It is open to NC students who are beyond the first term of their current program; and,
  • Results will inform program review and drive continuous improvement for both academic programs and student services.

New this year: Indigenous Education Strategy (IES) Survey

Niagara College is excited to be working on its first Indigenous Education Strategy, and we’re inviting students to share their valuable input through the IES Survey, included at the end of the OCSES. The IES Survey plays a key role in the strategy’s development, with student feedback playing a crucial role in supporting reconciliation, Indigenization, and strengthening connections with Indigenous communities.

To thank students for participating, a prize draw will be offered for each survey, available to those who complete each.

OCSES survey results will be released in Spring 2025. If you have any questions, please reach out to Katerina Gonzalez, Director, Planning and Institutional Research, at [email protected].

IES Survey results will play a vital role in shaping the Indigenous Education Strategy, guiding efforts to support reconciliation and strengthen ties with Indigenous communities. For any questions, please contact Leah Hogan, Director, Indigenous Education, at [email protected].

Thank you for your support in promoting these important surveys and helping amplify the voices of our students!
