Recreation Therapy students stuffed 70 stockings for seniors living at Royal Rose Place.
The holiday season is the season of giving, and this year, students from Niagara College’s Recreation Therapy Program decided to give the gift of Christmas Cheer to seniors in our community.
Organized by Recreation Therapy Professor Beth Astles, NC partnered with Stockings of Love – an initiative that provides full stockings to seniors living alone or in long term care homes – to stuff and deliver 70 stockings to seniors living at Royal Rose Place, a long-term care home in Welland.
“We had a very successful Stockings of Love campaign,” said Astles. “It was a pleasure to see the joy these stockings brought to the residents of Royal Rose Place and how such a simple gesture can make the world of difference.”
This was the third year that NC participated in Stockings of Love.
